LOOK CLOSELY AND SEE THE GOLDFINCH
ROBINS DO EAT SEEDS, DEAR HUSBAND
I HAVE PROOF
AND BELOW...WHAT'S BLOOMING IN MY OPENBAR OF JOY
OH...WITCHIE-POO
SHE HAS BEEN WITH ME FOR A LONG TIME
...SORT OF A DARK SIDE THING
AS LIFE HAS...YOU HAVE NO POWER HERE
AH THIS MORNING'S LIGHT
I WAS UP AT 5;30 AM
FINISHED PUTTING IN A FEW PERRENIALS
NO MORE..I TELL MYSELF
YOU ARE GETTING TOO OLD
AND WHO REALLY CARES
BUT YOU....ENOUGH
BUT EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL IN MORNING LIGHT
IT WASHES OVER EVERYTHING WITH NEWNESS
A NEW DAY GIVEN
A GIFT FROM GOD
LIVE IT SUZ
I LOOKED UP THIS MORNING AFTER FINDING
A TULIP ON THE GROUND
THAT JACK! (SQUIRREL)
THAT JACK..ISN'T IT BAD ENOUGH HE ATE
ALMOST EVERY BLOSSOM OFF OF THE HORSECHESTNUT TREE
WHICH I AM CERTAIN IS WHY I HAVEN'T SEEN A BALTIMORE ORIOLE THIS YEAR
BUT NOW...HE'S WORKING ON MY TULIP TREE
GOODNESS!
AND THEN THERE IS THE WOOD FAIRY
SHE'S OLD AND FALLING APART
AND I UNDERSTAND HER CONDITION
AND STILL LOVE HER IN MY GARDEN
...SOMEDAY WE MAY BOTH JUST
FADE AWAY
IN THE GARDEN THAT WE LOVE
JOY
oh! those blues!
ReplyDeleteshe is smiling wide and kind,
your garden,
and it's a pleasure
to ramble along with you
and share in her beautiful way.
thank you,
Jennifer
I like your rambles:) Robins DO eat seed:) The also eat date palms off our trees here and get drunk and fly into everything. Quite the sight. You're not too old:) You're just right! And you do a great job in your garden....love all the flowers. And imagine Jack not being around to pester you....it would be quite boring. Of course Harry might be elsewhere waiting...:) I like the fairy falling apart....adds a lot character. We have a photo shoot at 6 tonight on Mexican bats....and it's 104 degrees outside right now.....yeah....it's going to be a hot one. Look forward to cooler temps in a couple weeks:)
ReplyDeleteHa! haven't seen Harry in awhile...ha ha
DeleteBut the garden is buzing with new bird babies
Mexican bats? We have bats in Galena, Il
they are tiny
Remember to drink water
I love your garden ! I have never seen robins at my feeder :) you are blessed to have seen this rare happening!

I think so too....mostly they are pulling worms out of the ground or eating berries.....but seeds from the feeder.....never saw that one....thanks for agreeing with me...hee hhee
Deleteand thanks...it was a beautiful day in the garden today
So beautiful it is in your garden! It´s not summer yet here in Finland so we have to wait for a while for all the wonderful flowers... Have a nice sunday!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sari from Puumuli
Hello Puumuli.....! I love your garden, too.
Deletethank you for stopping for a visit
Reading this was your last word! Joy! I just love the wooden fairy, but the purple in that one photo (an Iris?) is stunning!
ReplyDeleteHEE HEE IT WAS JOY SITTING IN THE GARDEN AND JUST WATCHING AND LISTENING....THAT IS A SIVERIAN IRIS...THE COLOR IS STUNNING....
DeleteInteresting that you feel the need to justify your 'witchie poo'; I don't think of witches as evil, rather I see them as a symbol of female empowerment, an embracing of our crone years. As I am past sixty, I am certainly a crone...and when I look back on some of the dumb things I did when I was young, I feel very blessed to have gotten this far, lol.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful!
AH VICTORIA...I LIKE THAT! AND YES WITCHES AREN'T ALL EVIL....IN FACT I BELIEVE THEY ARE MOSTLY EARTHY WOMEN OF HERBS AND HEALING AND HONORING NATURE
DeleteCRONE....YEAH THAT WOULD BE ME TOO....62 IN DECEMBER
WE SHOULD HANG OUT TOGETHER
THANKS FOR THE VISIT
I love to watch Robins. They have the most fun in my bird bath.
ReplyDeleteI have zillions of them this year...joy
DeleteBeautiful pictures, Sue. And I remember that wood fairy - don't ever give up on her. She's still sprinkling fairy dust in your garden. xox
