Autumn is coming

autumn is coming
the days are getting shorter
the robins haven't been seen
and the leaves are yielding
as I know
I will
have to
...soon

  1. I love all of the seasons
    I love autumn for
the cooling down after hot days
    the harvest of fruit
    the fire colours of leaves
    beautiful fungi
I shall enjoy watching your autumn season posts

  3. May your enjoy the 'season of mists and mellow fruitfulness' like Keats, Suz. Blogging makes me aware of the whole earth dancing the seasons.. and how quickly they seem to go these days! Love Joan. I like your words.. the bareness of winter in her pocket! Great.

  4. Ah but Winter brings
    roaring fires
    warming foods
    gathering of friends
    wild skies
    naked trees
    brisk invigorating walks
    long baths
    hot chocolates in dressing gowns
I love winter too you see
    I love all four seasons

  6. Oh don't get me wrong...I also love all the seasons with their delights...it's me...I have so enjoyed this summer season...bad as it was
And that is becasue our last winter was so cold snowy and bleak. It's bleak I hate....with no color..especially the loss of green.
But I know I will forget about summer the minute I smell wood burning in the air
and Marilyn....you said it so well and so beautifully....may I quote you?

  7. Hi Suz, I am still among the living. You are such a generous person Thank you for caring. It was terribly cold here also but I do love Autumn but to put it simply we each should be thankful for every season we have.

  9. Hi Suz - I do understand what you are saying, sometimes we grieve for a season as it passes but that doesn't mean that we don't like the seasons to come, and yes, you may quote me if you wish.
