  1. Hey Suz! Thanks for posting the larger picture. I could easily be wrong, but it looks like a type of invasive viburnum. The leaves emit a yucky odor when damaged. Can you tell if the scent is from the leaves or the flowers? I've read about stinky pears and small trees, but don't know as much about shrub-like plants. If no one has the answer, you might want to take a sample of the plant in a plastic bag to your local extension service. I bet there's a master gardener there who knows exactly what it is. Good luck, oh, and let me know if you find out? Thanks!

  2. Love seeing all the "greenery" anyway. Nice for this snowy morning! I will ask Judy C. (she is a master gardener).

  4. I forgot to bring the photos that I had printed when I saw Judy on Monday! tsk-tsk. Anyway, I did remember to ask her about it and she couldn't off-hand think of anything like that, but she said you can go on Morton Arboretum or what's the other one? tsk-tsk again...and they have a service to answer you on-line. Send them the photo. I will also try to remember to bring it with me next week to show Judy.
